Shannon Wheeler
Director, The Advocacy Group
Shannon Wheeler serves as director of The Advocacy Group (TAG), a 50-state and global lobbying network, and in her FOCUS capacity, assists with client management and consultation. Shannon joined the FOCUS team in 2010 as a legislative and regulatory Policy Analyst, tracking issues spanning from energy to legal reform. She assisted with the management of the Internet Coalition until 2017, researching, analyzing, and reporting on emerging internet issues and technologies, ecommerce, advertising, privacy, data security, tax and many other issues affecting online companies. Shannon is a native of Lake Placid, New York and currently lives in Hinesburg, Vermont with her husband, Weston, and son, Lochlan. She graduated from James Madison University in Virginia, where she majored in political science with a minor in political communication.
